The bloggers have spoken, this video has been without question the major sensation of 2007 (so far). The Machine is Us/ing Us Runner-up: Middle Ages Tech Support. Now, with those 'people's choice' awards out of the way, let's dig a little deeper. What's your choice for the best online video, preferably one with at least some relevance to educators? |
Inspired by the forthcoming NMC Online Conference on the Convergence of Web Culture and Video, four education webloggers impulsively start up a dubious awards program, declare themselves Jurors, and solicit nominations on their blogs. A tidal wave of entries flow in. Too late, the Jurors realize that it's impossible to fairly choose a handful of these entries for special recognition. They're in over their heads. They become consumed with anxiety, and begin to turn on one another. So they re-jig the game a bit. The nominations are each worthy of recognition, so let's roll with that. Hey, we're all winners! We have tried to set up this site to present and organize the submitted videos somewhat, and to provide a basic framework for commentary. Feel free to add videos, your thoughts on the videos or their educational uses, or to add comments or resources wherever you think they might be useful. The categories could use some improvement, so input there is especially welcome. The Jurors have already been asked by others if this program may be reused... the answer is YES! Take a little, take it all, rework, reuse, remaster... just keep the video party swinging. Here...
